Становление и развитие общественного воспитания детей-сирот в Беларуси

Abstract

Воспитание детей-сирот и детей, оставшихся без попечения родителей, в настоящее время приобретает особую актуальность, т.к. количество их из года в год не уменьшается. В связи с этим современное общество серьезно обеспокоено данными проблемами = Upbringing of children orphans and children with the lack of parental care becomes nowadays especially urgent since their number does not reduce with years. Consequently, modern society is seriously worried about the problems of children orphans. Addressing home historical experience of solving this problem will make it possible not only to understand the process of social and pedagogical upbringing of children orphans better, considering national mentality and cultural traditions, but also to understand deeper specific features of social children orphanages as a peculiar type of upbringing institutions. Their experience can also be applied within the system of social work with children and teenagers. The authors consider the emergence of state upbringing homes, orders, children orphanages of different types, establishments of public care. Public assistance to children orphans on the part of charity societies and establishments, single personalities, city and district bodies of public self government is described. This made it possible not only to find out problem families but also to collect charities for children’s needs, render different kinds of assistance, improve their health, and educate them.
