Small talk как неотъемлемая часть общей коммуникативной компетенции студентов

Abstract

В данной статье подчеркивается важность эффективной коммуникации и иноязычной языковой подготовки будущих специалистов. Рассматривается фактический речевой жанр small talk, его функции и межкультурные особенности. Предлагаются рекомендации для преподавателей при обучении данному виду деятельности. = Our students have difficulties in maintaining spontaneous social communication not only because of linguistic and psychological barriers, but also because of different ideas about the functions of the phatic dialogue in different cultures. Small talk is not typical of our culture, that is why students do not have speech patterns in Russian or Belarusian, and they transfer their behavior and model of the speech situation when they speak English. Therefore, the teacher’s task is to explain the functions, describe the structure and point out the intercultural peculiarities of this phatic genre. Students must know how to address a person, use adequate speech clichés, various types of questions and follow the rules of the etiquette. Phatic communication is a characteristic of any culture in one form or another, but it is necessary to take into account different evaluation systems, communicative values, ideals.
